Civil / Structural Engineer

We are looking for a Civil / Structural Engineer with around 2 years of experience or training in offshore engineering to join our team and support the design and analysis of marine and offshore concrete structures for floating offshore wind projects.

Responsibilities
  • Support the design and analysis of reinforced concrete structures in offshore environments.
  • Participate in engineering studies from conceptual design to detailed design.
  • Perform structural calculations, preliminary sizing, and technical assessments.
  • Contribute to finite element modelling and interpretation of simulation results.
  • Support the development of practical and constructible design solutions.
  • Apply relevant engineering codes, standards, and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, drafting, construction, and marine operations.
  • Prepare calculation notes, technical reports, and project documentation.

Requirements
  • Master’s degree or PhD in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Degree officially recognized or homologated in Spain.
  • Valid work permit in Spain.
  • Around 2 years of experience in civil engineering applied to offshore environment.
  • Knowledge of reinforced concrete design, structural analysis, and finite element modelling.
  • Familiarity with environmental loads, metocean data, wave-structure interaction, and design basis development.
  • Experience with ANSYS Mechanical, OrcaFlex, AQWA, or equivalent engineering software will be valued.
  • Programming skills in Python and/or MATLAB will be valued.
  • High level of technical English and high level of Spanish.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, proactivity, and willingness to learn.

Valuable Skills
  • Experience in floating offshore wind projects.
  • Knowledge of floating systems, mooring systems, offshore foundations, or marine operations.
  • Knowledge of offshore and structural standards such as DNV, IEC, API, Eurocodes, BS EN, or similar.
  • Experience with structural analysis, coupled dynamic simulations, hydrodynamic analysis, or offshore structural engineering.
  • Knowledge of casting, precasting, slipforming, or other concrete construction methods.
  • Interest in sustainable and innovative concrete technologies, including low-emission, recycled, green, self-healing, or 3D-printed concrete.
  • Clear communication skills and ability to work effectively with contractors, fabricators, and multidisciplinary teams.
